From October 3rd till October 14th it’s Children's Book Week in the Netherlands.

This week is all about books for children and is organised to make them enthusiastic about reading books. Every year we ‘celebrate’ this Children's Book Week at school with all our pupils.

This year a Dutch writer came to visit our school: Anka Jacobs. Anka wrote the book ‘Een kameel op de stoep.’ She also brought the illustrator of this book, her name is Ellen Hooghoudt. Anka red to the children and they could ask her questions about the book and about her job of writing one.

The illustrator, Ellen, learned the children how the writer the main person in the book.
