Origami is the traditional art of folding paper, which means folded paper and its name has emerged from the combination of Japanese oru (fold) and kami (paper) words. Origami is basically the art of creating various shapes by simply folding the paper without using scissors and glue.  We made Origami with students by the guidence of Sebastian Gerlach who is a teacher at our German partner school (the Grundschule im Beerwinkel) when he visited our school. The dozens of butterflies we made, are decorating the ceiling of our school now.

Origami, Japonca oru (katlama) ve kami (kağıt) kelimelerinin birleşmesiyle meydana gelmiş Katlanmış Kağıt anlamına gelen geneksel kağıt katlama sanatıdır. Origami temelde makas ve yapıştırıcı kullanmadan kağıdı sadece katlayarak çeşitli şekiller oluşturma sanatıdır.

Almanya’daki partnerimiz Grundschule im Beerwinkel okulunda öğretmen olan ve okulumuzu ziyaret eden Sebastian Gerlach rehberliğinde öğrencilerle Origami çalışması yaptık. Yaptığımız onlarca kelebek şimdi okulumuzun tavanını süslüyor.
