Sadako and the 1000 Cranes

by (sco)

Just like our friends from all the other Erasmus schools in our project, the children at the Edinburgh Academy have been learning about Sadako and Hiroshima.

Following on from an assembly, they have been trying to make 100 cranes to show their love, hope and support for peace. The teachers will take all the cranes that the children make to the workshop in Berlin to be made into chains symbolising hope and peace."

Dear children of Edinburgh Acadamy, thank you very much for making all the cranes and sharing our wish for peace as Sadako did ! We will send the cranes to Hiroshima - promised. It takes a bit of time to thread them all!
Yours Ulla from Berlin
