During Parla workshop, we visited the Museum of the National Library in Madrid. In this activity, we learned the history of the School of Translators of Toledo. School founded in the 12th century by Archbishop Raymond de Sauvetât and spurred by King Alfonso X the Wise. To the School of Translators of Toledo must Europe to a large extent, and the work of translation in general, its subsequent scientific and intellectual development. After this we realized a workshop of medieval librettos, a kind of notebook made of papyrus.

Historia de la Escuela de Traductores de Toledo y Taller de Libretos Medievales

Durante el taller de Parla, visitamos el Museo de la Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid. En esta actividad, aprendimos la historia de la Escuela de Traductores de Toledo. Escuela fundada en el siglo XII por el arzobispo Raymond de Sauvetât y estimulada por el rey Alfonso X el Sabio. A la Escuela de Traductores de Toledo debe Europa en gran medida, y la obra de traducción en general, su posterior desarrollo científico e intelectual. Después de esto realizamos un taller de libretos medievales, una especie de cuaderno hecho de papiro.
